What it is
A one-page checklist for the step before the contract.
What is inside
- The ICPO is in force and addressed to the right company
- The offer is still valid: its validity has not run out while the price was argued
- Verification: open registries and news, then the counterparty's bank with its written authority to verify
- The buyer's KYC is complete
- The draft letter of credit: which document triggers which payment
- Commission terms: the ICPO and the deal terms do not contradict each other
- A direct line to the person who signs
- Payment instrument rules named: UCP 600, ISP98 or URDG 758
- Commissions in writing, paid to own accounts, booked by recipients
- Bilingual version and company chop where a party's law requires
